Sardinian ‘Pibiones’ Handwoven Rug

‘Pibiones’ comes from a very ancient word meaning grape seed, which reflects the particular type of hand stitching/hand weaving that the maker has produced. Each small raised bump of the design is probably one of the most distinct forms of Sardinian carpet and textile weaving.

The ‘Pibiones’ rug is spectacular in design and requires the most skill and technique. The beautifully luxurious Linen and Cotton blend, the neutral palette and the traditional pattern make it an absolute stand-out feature and focal point of any contemporary home. The ‘Pibiones’ rug is ‘Simply Sardinian’ in every way.

Creator – Isabella still carries on the family-run business in Samugheo, Sardinia, her mother Usanna, at 90 years young, learned her trade from her mother and those before her. Each rug is intricately designed and weaved by hand with love and passion for ancient techniques and Sardinian culture.
